At least in our experience, blue zinnias are not real. The seeds we planted actually grew to be gold and red zinnias. It now becomes very likely that someone realized gardeners like us would want to buy blue zinnias and therefore photoshopped the package to make the flowers look blue.
Sow zinnia seeds only about 1/4-inch deep. You'll see zinnia seedlings in only 4 to 7 days for most varieties, though it will be anywhere from several weeks to a couple months before blooms appear (depending on planting site and climate).
Definitely not giant, but still attracted pollinators and provided beauty in the garden. Pretty uniform purple color though. Owner Response: Hi Jo, In ideal conditions, these zinnia blooms reach 4-6" in width. Plant spacing and soil nutrients are important factors that impact flower size.. . . . .364011235242!]0000000000000009783314145600!]
